The influence of safety and threat on pain perception

Within this project we investigate the influence of induced emotions, such as safety and threat on pain perception. Studies already show a positive influence on the perception of pain through positive emotions. By implementing a safety paradigm that leads to a reduction of pain, we hope to better understand an important resilience factor in pain processing.
