Keynote lectures will provide cross-cutting, state-of-the-art perspectives on important research topics in psychology and educational sciences related to lasting learning. All keynote lectures will be given by internationally renowned experts. They will take place every day from 9:00 to 10:30 in the Oswald-Külpe lecture hall.

Hot-topic sessions offer the opportunity to work in depth with one of our instructors on a current research topic in their area of expertise based on selected articles. This course format is designed to provide you with the most up-to-date knowledge on the topic. Specific hot-topic sessions closely related to your own research may also provide an opportunity to discuss your own dissertation/research projects with the instructors and other course participants ideally leading to new research ideas and potential collaborations. Hot-topic sessions will take place either on Monday and Tuesday or on Thursday and Friday. They typically last 4 hours (i.e., 2 hours per day including a short break). Several hot-topic sessions will be offered in parallel. You will have one hot-topic session for Monday/Tuesday and one for Thursday/Friday based on your preferences as will be assessed by the online registration questionnaire (see Application and Requirements).

Method workshops are designed to enhance key methodological skills for addressing research questions on lasting learning. Method workshops will take place either on Monday and Tuesday or on Thursday and Friday. They typically last 4 hours (i.e., 2 hours per day including a short break). You will have one method workshop for Monday/Tuesday and one for Thursday/Friday based on your preferences as will be assessed by the online registration questionnaire.
